Gramercy: In other words...Thank You!

As we move through autumn and this season of gratitude and connection our thoughts go out to each person in the HedgeCrew family who have joined us in our journey, and taken Hedgemade Goods along for yours. This season we’ve added new products to the shop including our Moisturizing Soap Bars and New Poof Beanies! Both these products reflect our ongoing commitment to learning and supplying the finest herbal and fiber art pieces. Not sure what to get for someone that would love our products? Our Gift Certificates are now available.

It can be easy to fall into overwhelm when there is so much to do and everyone feels so disconnected. I, for one, have been making adjustments to learn and grow my internet content pipeline to make more moments to share with you. This is not my preferred method, I miss being with the HedgeCrew in person, able to help with selecting and fitting to each friend. I take comfort in the honor of being carried and kept in your lives; from the bottle on your bedside table to the beanie you gave to someone you love- I know you’re trusting me, thank you. Your enthusiasm has kept me going and innovating in immeasurable ways.

Yes, we are a product based small business, but above all, Hedgemade Goods Co. is a shop built on handmade traditions and expanding communities, and it couldn’t happen without you. Thank you for coming along on this journey and shopping with small businesses whenever possible or as said at the Renaissance Faire, Gramercy!

If you can’t find a gift or purchase in my shop this year, please check out one of the shops below (they don’t know I’m doing this unpaid promotion, I just love them!)

Tickle Thy Fantasy & Etsy Store - Barbara Butcher has been designing clothing for the Renaissance Faire since 1970. She got her start making hand crocheted headdresses, pouches, and garments that were decorated with beads and feathers. She sold these from her booth, then called Fantasy Feather Creations, to the likes of Cher and Stevie Nicks.

Barbara gradually introduced her Renaissance line which gained immediate popularity at the Agoura and Novato Faire’s due to the quality and authenticity of her line. In the mid 80’s Barbara began designing rag clothing, the earliest versions of what would soon be known famously as the Cream Room. Barbara’s booth is now called Tickle Thy Fantasy built and managed by her apprentice Janine Coley, and patrons have confessed visiting the Renaissance Faire just to purchase her beautiful clothing.

When they are not fulfilling online requests through their website or Etsy you can find Tickle Thy Fantasy in person at the Northern and Southern California Renaissance Faires staffed by the renowned staff of personal Tickle booth person, commonly called Tickle Girls!

Schulps Pottery Co. - Schulps pottery and knives Co are all handmade original pieces. Each item is one of a kind. By far my ALL time favorite place for all of my dishware and a common prop for many of my product photography!

Blue Moon Designs - Katherine the Great began designing costumes in 1995 while still in high school, inspired by the lack of interesting clothing and costuming in her sizable size. She has brought that same commitment to beautiful clothes that fit well to her unique accessory business Blue Moon Designs. She spent several years entranced by many different activities involving costumes -- bellydancing, Renaissance Faire, and Burning Man -- all the while developing a historical design sensibility ... with a twist! Above all, Katherine is committed to promoting universal body positivity through fabulous fancy accessories for everyBODY!

Other than their online stop you can find them at the following events: Folsom Renaissance Faire, Northern California Renaissance Faire, Autumn Lights Festival in Oakland, CA, Dickens Christmas Fair vat the Cow Palace of San Francisco, CA

Enchanted Chocolate - A Parisian style chocolatier, located in the heart of historic downtown Milwaukie. Husband and wife duo Bill and Kim Cairo are proudly hand crafting their own chocolates exactly the same way that they have been produced for the last 85 years. You will also delight in one of several varieties of caramel corn still made in a traditional copper candy kettle. Consequently, they were proudly named one of USA today’s top 10 candy stores in the United States.

When you visit this enchanting store you will be drawn in by the exquisite displays which include confections from around the globe. As well as, a beautiful selection of gift items you would find in a boutique in Paris. They have also hand chosen some fabulous treasures from the flea markets in Paris. This is by far one of my most favorite finds in the PNW.

Fengari Fiber Arts - Fengari has been providing Half Moon Bay with supplies for fiber arts since 2000. This grandma-and-granddaughter duo has a selection of yarns so colorful and abundant there's something for any of your project needs.

As a tight-knit bunch, their team is always here to help you find what you're looking for, and for those new to knitting, we frequently offer workshops to help you feel comfortable in your craft. After a stop by our store, you'll want to get back to your knitting needles right away and in my case CROCHETING. Get ready to be inspired!

Garden Apothecary - Born of an excess of rose petals and peppermint following an abundant harvest season, Garden Apothecary began as simple line of flower waters, made one-at-a-time in their Coastside kitchen. Following a near-decade of growth and the opening of their flagship apothecary shop in downtown Half Moon Bay, California, Garden Apothecary. Garden Apothecary has been featured in O, The Oprah Magazine; People Magazine; Sunset Magazine, NY Times and Vogue.

They are one of my all time favorite places to visit and I am grateful that even though I am so far away I can order their amazing products online.

Northwest Wools - Northwest Wools is proud to be Portland’s Oldest Yarn Shop — serving the needs of their customers for over 30 years from our charming location in Multnomah Village. Their customers span multiple generations, and they work hard to provide every customer with great service; whether it’s advice on yarns, inspiring new project ideas, helping with challenging patterns, or placing special orders, they would love to assist you.
